FEATURES
- Light and flexible. Stalking cloven-hoofed game is the premier class of hunting. Here, the hunter moves slowly and as silently as possible through the forest, field, or mountains. Since there’s no car or high seat, all equipment, including optics, must be light, compact, and as variable as possible. Field of view and magnification reserves often play a decisive role, as well. The Leica Geovid Pro 8x32 and 10x32, as well as the Geovid Pro 8x42 and 10x42, are compact rangefinder binoculars with brilliant optical and ballistic performance in their class.
- A handy companion for the road. Hunting abroad is particularly demanding, so hunters must select their equipment with care. It must be lightweight, but at the same time allow long-range shots. The varying terrain also challenges hunters and their hunting optics with regard to wind and ballistics. The Leica Geovid Pro 8x32 and 8x42, with their optimum pack sizes, excellent optical and ballistic performance at all distances, are the first choice of active hunters who must always rely on their observation optics.
- Bright images into the night. Cloven-hoofed game is classically hunted from a raised hide or pulpit. Here, the hunter waits for the game from early dawn, sometimes until late at night. For reliable identification, even at long distances under sometimes difficult light conditions, the hunter must rely on the best optical equipment. That’s where the Leica Geovid Pro 8x56 comes in, with its extra-large exit pupil, its outstanding transmission values, and the world’s leading ballistics functions.
- Accurate even at close range. Hunting with a bow, one of the oldest methods, challenges hunter and equipment equally. On the one hand, game must be spotted and identified at long range. On other hand, the distance to the close target must be measured accurately. The Leica Geovid Pro 8x32 and 10x32, as well as the Geovid Pro 8x42 and 10x42, are outstanding rangefinder binoculars with small pack size, high optical performance, and precise rangefinding – at even close distances.
- Precision when it matters most. Long-range hunting or shooting deals with greater distances than the usual types of hunting or sport shooting. Long-range has its own fascination, as shots travel 1500 meters, or even further, under the influence of environmental factors. Here, the shooter’s skill plays a decisive role, as does the equipment. From the Leica Geovid Pro family, the 10x32 and 10x42 models with their high magnification reserve, compact dimensions, and comprehensive ballistics programs are the right choice.
- Tracking assistant for easy target guidance. In addition to the rangefinder, all Geovid Pro models also have a built-in compass. In conjunction with the ballistics calculator, all models can determine GPS coordinates for points in the field. The last five distances measured are automatically stored and can be accessed for navigation. Thus, the LPTTM (Leica ProTrack) tracking assistant can display any previously-measured point on a connected cellphone. This facilitates target checks when shooting at long range or in the mountains. Navigation takes place via Google Maps® or the BaseMap® app. The hunter is guided to the location of the shot via compass needle or terrain map.
- High-tech on board. Every hunter knows the challenge of a long shot – whether in the mountains or in the open field. All models in the Geovid Pro family come pre-installed with the world’s leading Applied Ballistics® software in the basic Ultralight version. This delivers precise ballistics solutions based on the measured range, equivalent horizontal range, atmospheric data, and other ambient data for up to 800 meters. In the upgrade version Applied Ballistics Elite® even up to the maximum range of 2,950 meters. In doing so, Applied Ballistics® draws on G1/G7 coefficients and a database of up to 740 preset ammunition profiles. The upgrade Applied Ballistics Elite® can be easily purchased from the Applied Ballistics® App Store. Via the Bluetooth® interface, the hunter can transfer the ballistics profile, preset in the app, to the Leica Geovid Pro. The integrated ballistics calculator and the extensive stored values from Applied Ballistics® supply the most accurate solutions for a precise shot. Close, long, or in between.
- Impressive detail – at close and long range. The Geovid Pro models incorporate over 30 years of rangefinding expertise. They unite superlative optical performance with the world’s leading ballistics solution and the most precise rangefinding. Each model in the Geovid Pro family is equipped with an extremely accurate Class 1 laser that reliably and quickly measures distances of up to 2,950 meters (2,300 meters for the Geovid Pro 32). Ambient data – such as barometric pressure, temperature, and angle – is taken into account. And with Applied Ballistics® on board, the Leica Geovid Pro models precisely calculate the simple distance, the equivalent horizontal range (EHR), as well as the correction values for holdover, units, and click adjustment.
- Superlative optical performance. The Leica Geovid Pro models combine the best optical performance, such as high transmission values, excellent lifelike colors, and strong contrasts, with the world’s leading ballistics solution and precise rangefinding. The lens sizes of 32 mm to 56 mm and the Perger-Porro prisms deliver outstanding image quality, optimum color fidelity, and exceptional brightness – even under the most challenging conditions. In addition, all models are shape-optimized for fatigue-free viewing and intuitive to operate. The proven rubber-armored magnesium housing is rugged and protects its high-end interior from the elements, making all Leica Geovid Pro models utterly reliable companions.
