Center feed magazine boxes that extend cartridge length for Remington 700 long and short actions

Wyatt's Extended Center Feed Magazine Boxes are internal magazine boxes that allow longer cartridge overall lengths in Remington 700 rifles than factory boxes. Four models fit different action lengths and cartridge families: short action WSM/RSAUM, long action magnum, long action standard, and long action factory length. The center feed design uses the box lips to control feeding instead of relying on receiver rails. Installation requires modification to the receiver and bolt, done by a competent gunsmith.

Four models for different action lengths and cartridge families

Choose CFE-5 for short action WSM/RSAUM cartridges, CFE-9 for long action magnums, CFE-12 for long action standard cartridges, or CFE-13 for long action magnum cartridge diameters.

Center feed design improves feeding control

The box lips guide the cartridge into the chamber, not the receiver rails.

Complete kits with box, follower, and spring

Each kit includes the magazine box, a follower matched to the model, and a spring. CFE-5 includes an F-7 follower; CFE-9 includes an F-10 follower; CFE-12 and CFE-13 include flat plate followers.

Gunsmith installation required

These boxes replace the factory BDL box and require modification to the receiver and bolt. Installation must be done by a competent gunsmith and is not a field installation.

Which model fits which action and cartridge?

CFE-5 fits short actions with WSM and RSAUM cartridges. CFE-9 fits long actions with belted magnums and larger cases. CFE-12 fits long actions with standard cartridges. CFE-13 fits long actions with magnum cartridge diameters at factory length. Each model has a specific COAL: CFE-5 3.00 in, CFE-9 4.00 in, CFE-12 3.830 in, CFE-13 3.710 in internal.

What does gunsmith modification involve?

Installation requires modification to the receiver and bolt. Wyatt's states the receiver and bolt must be modified by a competent gunsmith. For the CFE-9 the receiver, bolt stop and ejection port are altered; for the CFE-12 the receiver and bolt stop. Wyatt's cautions that most clone actions will not accept the CFE-9.

Each kit includes the center feed magazine box, a follower matched to the model (F-7 for CFE-5, F-10 for CFE-9, flat plate for CFE-12 and CFE-13), and a spring.
