A 6mm carbon fiber barrel blank with 5R cut rifling, ready for your gunsmith

The Benchmark Barrels .243 (6mm) carbon fiber barrel blank is a lightweight blank for a gunsmith to chamber, thread and install. It comes in Sendero and Sendero Light contours, with 1:7.5 twist in 26 inch finish length. All barrels are double hand lapped and individually stress relieved.

5R single-point cut rifling

Benchmark blanks use 5R rifling, single-point cut and hand lapped.

416R and 4140R carbon steel core

Benchmark uses 416R and 4140R steel, wrapped in carbon fiber.

Two contours, one twist

Choose Sendero or Sendero Light with 1:7.5 twist in 26 inch finish length, with 1" extra for the gunsmith to cut and crown.

Double hand lapped, stress relieved

Each blank is individually hand lapped to a consistent bore and double stress relieved using Benchmark's proprietary techniques. Quality control includes both proprietary and industry-standard inspection methods.

CNC chambering and threading

Benchmark uses modern CNC and fixturing to produce the straightest and most uniform threads and chambers in the industry.

This is a blank, not a finished barrel. It must be chambered, threaded, crowned and installed by a qualified gunsmith, and the 26 inch finish length is the length after the extra 1" is cut from the muzzle. Rifle barrels ship for a flat $14.95 per order, any quantity, and do not qualify for free shipping.

Fitting it and the fine print

Is this a finished barrel?

No. Benchmark Barrels sells blanks only, no pre-fits and no gas-gun barrels. Your gunsmith chambers, threads, crowns and installs it. Every blank is 1" longer than the finish length you order, left on for the gunsmith to cut from the muzzle end after inspecting the bore.

Which contours and twist are offered?

Sendero and Sendero Light contours, both in 1:7.5 twist at 26 inch finish length. Other contours are available to order.
