For optimal accuracy, Snowy Mountain Rifles recommends having your pre-fit barrel installed by a professional gunsmith. Proper installation ensures your barrel is precisely fitted to maintain headspace accuracy and maximize rifle performance.

Pre-Fit Barrel Information for Defiance Machine Actions
Snowy mountain rifle company's carbon and steel pre-fit precision rifle barrels are the perfect pairing for your Defiance Machine action. All SMR pre-fit barrels for defiance actions are cut and headspaced to defiance ruckus actions. This headspace should also work properly with defiance anti and anti-x actions, please check with defiance to confirm. Simple and easy to install requiring only a barrel vise, action wrench, torque wrench and the proper headspace gauges.
Disclaimers
- All SMR pre-fit barrels for defiance actions are shouldered pre-fits guaranteed to headspace with defiance ruckus, anti and anti-x actions with the recessed bolt nose option only, assuming the actions are within spec.
- SMR uses JGS headspace gauges to check final headspace and recommends you do the same.

- Due to variance in action thread timing, we do not guarantee the timing and alignment of the barrel engraving to the stock or chassis line.
- All tenon and muzzle threads are cut to 3A specifications.
- Trued or modified actions may not headspace properly.
- Torque barrels to action at 85-105 ft/lbs. All thread torques should be checked on a regular basis.
