.224 stainless steel blank with 4-groove rifling made in Oklahoma
Custom Rifle Barrels makes precision .224 rifle barrel blanks in Oklahoma. These are 4-groove, hand-lapped stainless steel barrels, 29 inches blank length with a .219 inch bore. The blank ships unthreaded, unchambered and uncrowned, and must be finished by a certified gunsmith. Two twist rates, 1:7 and 1:12, are available in three contours.
Made in Oklahoma
Custom Rifle Barrels are machined by Austin Orgain, AG Cup Champion 2020 and NRL and PRS Series Champion. All barrels are precision machined at his Oklahoma facility.
4-groove, hand-lapped bore
4-groove rifling, hand-lapped to a consistent bore diameter, precision machined and stress relieved.
416R stainless steel
Made from high-quality 416R stainless steel. The blank is 1.25 inches maximum diameter.
Three contours, two twists
M24, CRB Competition, and 1.25 inch straight cylinder contours, each available in 1:7 or 1:12 twist rate. Weights range from 6.9 lbs (M24) to 9.6 lbs (straight cylinder).

This is a blank, not a finished barrel. It must be chambered, threaded, crowned and installed by a certified gunsmith. Custom Rifle Barrels recommends removing 1 inch from the muzzle for crowning and final finishing. Rifle barrels ship for a flat $14.95 per order, any quantity, and do not qualify for free shipping.

Is this a finished barrel?
No. It must be chambered, threaded, crowned and installed by a certified gunsmith. Custom Rifle Barrels recommends removing 1 inch from the muzzle for crowning and final length adjustment.
Which twist rate, 1:7 or 1:12?
Order the twist your bullet maker recommends for the bullets you plan to shoot. Both are available on every contour.
Which contour should I order?
Three contours are offered: M24 (6.9 lbs), CRB Competition (8.7 lbs), and 1.25 inch straight cylinder (9.6 lbs), each in 1:7 or 1:12 twist at 29 inch blank length. Match the contour to the barrel channel of your stock or chassis.
