Ballistics calculator with complete weather meter and wireless connectivity

The Kestrel 5700 Elite combines a rugged weather meter with the Applied Ballistics calculator for long range shooting. It measures wind, temperature, humidity, pressure and altitude, then feeds those environmental readings into ballistics models that correct for Aerodynamic Jump, Spin Drift, Coriolis and Subsonic flight. LiNK wireless connectivity syncs with your mobile device and pairs with compatible rangefinders.

Employs the Applied Ballistics library of custom drag models and corrects for Aerodynamic Jump, Spin Drift, Coriolis, and Drop Scale Factoring.

Complete weather measurements

Captures wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, pressure and altitude with the same sensor suite as the standalone Kestrel 5500 Weather Meter.

LiNK wireless connectivity

Bluetooth low energy connects to the Kestrel LiNK app on Android and iOS for full gun profile management, drag model transfers, and data logging from your phone. Pairs with LiNK compatible laser rangefinders.

Stores 30 gun and bullet profiles

Holds up to 30 gun and bullet profiles, each with custom drag models from the Applied Ballistics library, plus 10 saved targets.

Rugged and waterproof

What does LiNK connectivity do?

Bluetooth low energy connects the Kestrel to the Kestrel LiNK app on your phone or tablet. You can build and manage gun and bullet profiles, download custom drag models from the Applied Ballistics library, transfer data, and view a wind rose. LiNK pairs with compatible laser rangefinders to integrate target distance automatically into ballistic solutions. A USB data cable (sold separately) also connects to Windows and Mac computers.

How much data can the Kestrel 5700 Elite store?

The unit stores up to 30 gun and bullet profiles, 10 saved targets, and an adjustable data log that holds over 10,000 logged readings for all weather measurements. You can set the auto-store interval from 2 seconds to 12 hours, and data can be transferred to your phone or computer via Bluetooth or USB.

What are the weather capabilities?

The Kestrel 5700 Elite measures wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, pressure and altitude. It calculates air density, crosswind, headwind, dew point, heat index, wind chill and other environmental data. A digital compass is built in. All readings are displayed on the sunlight-readable screen and can be logged with adjustable intervals.

Is the Kestrel 5700 Elite waterproof and durable?

Yes. It is sealed to IP67 waterproof standard (3 feet for 30 minutes) and drop tested to MIL-STD-810G military standards. The display lens is extra-strong polycarbonate, and the unit operates in temperatures from 14 to 131 degrees Fahrenheit. It includes a protective drawstring pouch and lanyard.
