Overview
The Lilja carbon fiber barrel blank has a match-grade 416 stainless steel core, hand-lapped for uniform bore and consistent rifling. Wrapped in Lilja's low-resin carbon fiber. A gunsmith chambers, threads, crowns and fits it.
Drilled, reamed and rifled in Lilja's shop, then stress-relieved and hand-lapped. This is an unfinished blank: a gunsmith chambers it, threads and crowns the muzzle, and fits it to your action.
Lilja describes the wrap as a parallel fiber base with a filament-wound top layer.
This barrel blank uses Lilja's standard Remington Varmint contour, a tapered profile that steps down as you go toward the muzzle.
The 1 in 8 inch twist is Lilja's standard for .284 caliber in this product line.
