Sub-3.5-pound aluminum chassis for hunting, F-Class, and precision competition

The Masterpiece Arms BA Hybrid Chassis is a 6061 aluminum chassis for Remington 700 short and long actions and their clones. MPA lists it at 3.5 pounds without the recoil pad and grip, with a V-Bedding system, AICS pattern magazine well, an adjustable buttstock, a 1.5 inch ARCA rail and a lower Picatinny rail.

3.5-pound platform

MPA lists the chassis at 3.5 lb without the recoil pad and A2 grip.

V-Bedding system

Direct fit to Remington 700 short and long action footprints and clones. MPA machines the bedding surfaces on CNC; our record notes the V-Bedding system can also be glass bedded.

Buttstock adjustments

Adjustable length of pull from 12.75 to 13.75 inches (MPA's current figure; our older record said 13.5 to 14.75), adjustable cheek riser for sight alignment, and a recoil pad that adjusts for height and cant. Shorter or longer LOP available upon request.

1.2-inch barrel channel

Accepts barrel profiles up to M24 contour straight dimension. The channel opens to 1.275 inches to accommodate slight profile variance.

AICS magazine system

Takes AICS pattern magazines for the action length ordered. Magazines are not included.

Complete accessory mounting

Integrated 1.5 inch ARCA rail, lower Picatinny rail, multiple QD sling socket locations, bag rider, night vision bridge compatibility and side rail locations.

What is the difference between the short action and long action versions?

The BA Hybrid Chassis is machined to fit both Remington 700 short and long action footprints and their clones. Each takes the AICS pattern magazine for its action length. Order the version that matches your action.

Can I adjust the length of pull and cheek riser?

Yes. The buttstock features adjustable length of pull from 12.75 to 13.75 inches per MPA and an adjustable cheek riser. The recoil pad also adjusts for height and cant to dial in your preferred shooting position. Shorter or longer length of pull options are available upon request from the manufacturer.

What barrel profiles will fit?

The barrel channel accommodates straight dimensions up to 1.2 inches and opens to 1.275 inches for slight profile variance. The M24 contour fits without modification.
