Hybrid chassis with 3 inch extended forend, fixed stock interface, AICS magazines

The MDT LSS XL Gen 2 is a longer hybrid chassis built for Tikka T3 and T3x short action rifles that use fixed rifle stocks. It weighs 1.6 to 2.0 lbs depending on rifle model, is machined from 6061 aluminum with Cerakote finish, features a precision V-block bedding system, and accepts standard AICS pattern magazines. The forend extends 3 inches beyond the LSS to get the bipod further forward, per MDT.

3 inch extended forend for fixed stocks

Designed to accept fixed rifle stocks without adapters, and moves the bipod forward compared to the standard LSS chassis.

Free float barrels up to 1.350 inch diameter

A larger barrel channel than the original LSS, up to 1.350 inch; MDT keeps the top bedding surface round and close to the action without contact.

M-LOK forend with barricade grooves

All five sides of the forend carry M-LOK attachment slots for accessories and ARCA or Picatinny rails.

Ambidextrous magazine release and thumb rest

Fitting it and the fine print

Is this different from the standard MDT LSS?

The LSS XL Gen 2 extends the forend 3 inches forward compared to the standard LSS, so the bipod attaches further out. It is designed to work with fixed rifle stocks instead of requiring a carbine buttstock.

What magazines work with this Tikka T3 chassis?

Standard AICS pattern short action magazines, sold separately. The side relieved mag well accommodates bulging magazines.

What do I need to order separately?

An AR-15 buttstock, a buffer tube for your buttstock (mil-spec or commercial both work), an AR-15 pistol grip, and at least one AICS pattern magazine. For fixed stock interface, a grip without a beavertail or with a soft bendable beavertail works best.
