A compact 4-16x scope with first focal plane reticles for semi-automatic rifles
The Nightforce ATACR 4-16x42 F1 is a first focal plane riflescope that Nightforce lists for semi-automatic rifles. It comes in a compact 12.6-inch package with a 34 mm tube, 89 MOA of elevation travel, ZeroHold, DigIllum illumination and side parallax adjustment.
4-16x magnification in 12.6 inches
A 4x zoom over a 42 mm objective, delivering exit pupils from 10.3 mm at 4x down to 2.7 mm at 16x and a field of view from 26.9 ft to 6.9 ft at 100 yards.
First focal plane reticle
The reticle scales with magnification, so the MOA or Mil marks read the same at any power. Six reticle options let you pick MOAR, MOA-XT, MIL-R, MIL-C, MIL-XT or TREMOR3.
89 MOA elevation travel
89 MOA (26 MRAD) of elevation and 60 MOA (18 MRAD) of windage travel, in 0.250 MOA or 0.1 MRAD clicks depending on reticle.
ZeroHold and DigIllum
ZeroHold returns the elevation turret to a mechanical zero after dialing. DigIllum digital reticle illumination is standard.

Which reticle option should I choose?
MOAR and MOA-XT are MOA reticles that work with 0.250 MOA clicks. MIL-R, MIL-C and MIL-XT are Mil reticles that work with 0.1 MRAD clicks. TREMOR3 is the Horus TREMOR3 Mil reticle. Pick the unit (MOA or Mil) you dial and hold in.
