Swap your Rem 700 BDL floor plate for a detachable magazine box

The RHR Complete Bottom Metal Kit is a plug-and-play conversion for Remington 700 BDL and clone actions. It includes an RHR bottom metal, Wyatt's internal magazine box, spring, Hawkins Precision follower, and trim-to-fit action screws in one kit, so there is nothing else to source.

Two finish options

Anodized black with black nitrided screws, or raw aluminum with standard stainless screws.

Size by your cartridge

Short action fits WSM, SAUM, 6.5 PRC and standard calibers. Long action handles 300 PRC, RUM and magnum calibers up to extended length.

Trim-to-fit action screws

RHR screws are slightly longer than OEM standard to work with a wide range of aftermarket stocks and actions. Trim as needed to your build.

Which size do I order for my cartridge?

Order by your cartridge length, not by caliber name.

  • Short action standard: .243, .308, .358, 7mm-08, and other standard-length cartridges. COAL 2.850 in.
  • Short action WSM/SAUM: .270 WSM, 7mm WSM, .300 WSM, .25 WSSM, 6.5 SAUM, and similar. COAL 2.850 in.
  • Short action 6.5 PRC: 6.5 PRC and standard wildcats up to 2.985 in. COAL.
  • Long action standard: .270, .30-06, .375, and other standard-length magnum calibers. COAL 3.715 in.
  • Long action 300 PRC: 300 PRC and other long-range round-nosed projectiles up to 3.830 in.
  • Long action RUM: .300 RUM, 7mm RUM, .338 RUM, and extended-length cartridges. COAL 3.825 in.

What do I need to do with the action screws?

RHR action screws are shipped slightly longer than factory standard to work with a broad range of aftermarket stocks and actions. Measure the depth of your stock's recess and trim the screws with a hacksaw or belt grinder to fit. The goal is a screw that seats fully without bottoming hard or leaving a gap.
