The Snowy Mountain Rifles Aluminum AICS Magazine for long action rifles is machined from a single billet of 6061 aluminum and anodized for durability. Designed for Remington 700-footprint long actions with Wyatt's extended box cut, the 3.850 inch OAL accommodates PRC-family cartridges and similar magnum rounds. It weighs just 2.8 oz.

Belted cartridges are not recommended. Snowy Mountain says the belt can catch at the rear of the feed lips and compromise feeding. Our options also list a Long Action Standard version; Snowy Mountain's page documents only the Long Action Magnum/PRC magazine, so the figures here are for that version.

Will this magazine work with my Remington 700 long action?

Yes, if your action has a Wyatt's extended box cut. This magazine is designed specifically for Remington 700-footprint long actions with the extended box cut and standard AICS pattern inlet.

What cartridges does this magazine feed?

The magazine is tuned for PRC-family cartridges and similar body-sized magnum rounds. Do not use with belted magnum cartridges; the belt can catch at the rear of the feed lips and compromise feeding.

Which chassis systems is this compatible with?

The 3.850 inch OAL is intended for long action chassis systems with a 3.850 inch magwell, including XLR Industries Element 4.0, XLR Industries ATOM, and MDT HNT26. Because of the CIP length and chassis-specific magwell geometry, it is not a safe bet in standard AICS or M5 DBM setups designed for shorter internal lengths.
