A 12x50 binocular light enough to carry all day
The Zeiss SFL 12x50 is a 12x binocular with a 50 mm objective, built for hunters who want more magnification without a heavier 50 mm body. It weighs 872 g (30.8 oz) in a magnesium housing, with a 4.2 mm exit pupil and a 24.5 twilight factor for detail as light fades. The focus wheel needs only 1.4 turns from close focus to infinity and works with gloves on, and the body is nitrogen filled and rated to 400 mbar of water resistance.

A magnesium housing and thinner lens elements keep the 12x50 at 872 g (30.8 oz), lighter than a typical 50 mm binocular.
4.2 mm exit pupil, 24.5 twilight factor
Even at 12x magnification, 90% light transmission and a 24.5 twilight factor keep detail visible into low light.
SmartFocus wheel, 1.4 turns
The focus wheel sits in the DoubleLink Bridge and needs only 1.4 turns from close focus to infinity, even with gloves on.
Close focus to 1.8 m
Close focusing distance is 1.8 m (5.9 ft), useful at the bench as well as in the field.
Sealed to 400 mbar
Nitrogen filled and LotuTec coated, rated to 400 mbar water resistance across a -20 C to +55 C (-4 F to +131 F) operating range.
