Overview
A 32 oz Remington 700 footprint action with integrated recoil lug and 20 MOA rail
The 1934 Armory BE1 is a short action on the Remington 700 footprint. It is machined from 4140 pre-hard alloy with a 32-ounce weight, integrated recoil lug, and a full-length 20 MOA Picatinny rail. The one-piece bolt uses a Mini M16 extractor, features heavy fluting and a cam roller bearing for smooth cycling, and is available in Standard (.481 inch) or Magnum (.540 inch) bolt face. It accepts Remington 700 pattern triggers and is compatible with BDL and DBM bottom metal.
32 oz short action on Remington 700 footprint
Machined from 4140 pre-hard alloy with a PVD black coating. The receiver is hardened to 32 HRC and the one-piece bolt to 45-50 HRC. It drops into existing Rem 700 stocks and chassis with no modification.
Integrated recoil lug and 20 MOA rail
The recoil lug is machined into the receiver body, 0.300 inch thick. The 20 MOA Picatinny rail runs full length and is integral to the receiver. Both are machined in one operation, so nothing shifts under recoil or barrel changes.
One-piece bolt with Mini M16 extractor
The bolt body is 0.720 inch diameter with two lugs and a 90-degree throw. Heavy fluting on the top and sides reduces weight and carries grit away. A cam roller bearing in the bolt face keeps the cycle smooth and reduces bolt lift pressure.
Two bolt face options
Standard face (.481 inch) handles .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor and similar standard calibers. Magnum face (.540 inch) is for .300 Winchester Magnum, .338 Lapua and larger magnum rounds.
Quick change or full thread tenon
Choose Quick Change tenon for a proprietary quick-change barrel system, or Full Thread for a traditional threaded barrel. The choice is made at order time.
Guaranteed headspace to plus or minus 0.001 inch
Tolerances are held tight from the factory. Headspace is tested before shipment and guaranteed accurate, so a quality prefit barrel will go on at home.

Fitment
Will it work with your build?
Works with
- Remington 700 short action stocks and chassis
- Remington 700 pattern triggers
- BDL style bottom metal
- DBM (detachable box magazine) setups
- Remington 700 scope bases and rings
Will not work with
- Long action stocks or chassis
Verify your bottom metal compatibility. The BE1 accepts both BDL (hinged floorplate) and DBM setups, but your specific bottom metal must be confirmed for your stock or chassis.
Detail
Fitting it and the fine print
Which bolt face do I order?
- Standard (.481 in): For .308 Winchester, .243 Winchester, .260 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor and other standard rifle calibers that share the same bolt face size.
- Magnum (.540 in): For .300 Winchester Magnum, .338 Lapua Magnum and other large magnum calibers that require a larger bolt face.
Quick Change or Full Thread tenon?
Choose Quick Change if you plan to use 1934 Armory's quick-change barrel system to swap barrels without a gunsmith. Choose Full Thread for a standard threaded barrel that installs and removes with barrel wrenches, the traditional method. The choice is made at order time and cannot be easily changed later.
Will it work with my BDL stock or DBM setup?
The BE1 is compatible with both BDL (hinged floorplate) and DBM (detachable box magazine) bottom metal on Remington 700 footprint stocks and chassis. Verify that your specific bottom metal is confirmed compatible with the stock or chassis you are using before assembly.
