Overview
A 25 oz three-lug Remington 700 short action with 60-degree bolt throw
The 1934 Armory BE3 is a lightweight short-action receiver on the Remington 700 footprint, built on a modern 3-lug design. It weighs 25 ounces, uses a one-piece spiral-fluted bolt with a 60-degree throw, and is finished with full PVD black coating. Wire EDM raceways machine uniform tolerances throughout, and the receiver accepts Remington 700 pattern triggers, BDL and DBM bottom metal, and AICS-pattern magazines. Three bolt face options cover Standard (.481 inch), Magnum (.540 inch) and Varmint (.383 inch) calibers.

Dual-pinned recoil lug and full-length rail
The 0.300 inch thick recoil lug is precision cut and dual pinned to the receiver. The integral 20 MOA Picatinny rail runs the full length and is pinned.

1934 Armory guarantees headspace to plus or minus 0.001 inch.

Fitting it and the fine print
Which bolt face do I order?
- Standard (0.481 in): for cartridges on the .308 Winchester case head.
- Magnum (0.540 in): for magnum case heads such as .300 Winchester Magnum.
- Varmint (0.383 in): for cartridges on the .223 Remington case head.
3-lug vs 2-lug: what is the difference?
The BE3 has a 3-lug bolt with a 60-degree throw and is listed at 25 ounces; the BE1 in our record is a 2-lug, 90-degree action at 32 ounces. Both are Remington 700 footprint short actions.
Quick Change or Full Thread tenon?
Quick Change is 1934 Armory's quick-change barrel system; Full Thread is a conventional threaded tenon. The tenon is chosen at order time.
Does this receiver accept my bottom metal and magazines?
The BE3 accepts both BDL (hinged floorplate) and DBM (detachable box magazine) bottom metal on Remington 700 footprint stocks and chassis, and it is cut for AICS-pattern magazines.
