Traditional stock weight, carbon fiber weight savings

The AG Composites Privateer is a carbon fiber stock built for hunters who want a classic profile without the wood or fiberglass weight. It is inletted for Remington 700 and clone actions, and it ships with aluminum pillars installed and sling swivel studs ready to mount. Two barrel channel options and dual inlet patterns let you build the exact rifle you need without compromise.

25 ounces average weight

Carbon fiber construction saves substantial weight compared to traditional wood or composite stocks, making long days afield easier without sacrificing rigidity or durability.

100% carbon fiber with aluminum core inside the forend

Cured to 250 degrees Fahrenheit for maximum rigidity. The aluminum block extends from the tip to 1 inch in front of the recoil lug and can be drilled and tapped for custom rails or additional hardware.

No bedding required, ready to shoot

CNC machined action area and barrel channel provide a precise fit to Rem 700 and common clones. Customers achieve 1/2 MOA accuracy or better out of the box with no additional bedding compound.

Two barrel channel options

Sporter channel fits Remington Sporter contour barrels such as Bartlein number 3. Varmint/Sendero channel accommodates heavier profiles from Proof, Bartlein M24 and similar makers.

Dual inlet patterns for your action choice

Available in both Badger Ordinance and M5 style bottom metal inlets, in short or long action sizes. Use the inlet that matches your preferred trigger system and firearm.

Oversized shipping applies. Rifle stocks ship for a flat rate per order regardless of quantity, and do not qualify for free shipping due to their size and handling requirements. Barrel channel limits are firm. The Sporter channel will not accept heavier profiles. The Varmint/Sendero channel will not accommodate lighter barrels. Verify your barrel contour against the limit for your order before checkout.

Which barrel channel and inlet should I order?

  • Barrel channel: Measure or check your barrel documentation. Sporter fits Remington Sporter contour and similar light profiles up to Bartlein number 3. Varmint/Sendero fits heavier profiles such as Proof Sendero or Bartlein M24. Do not guess; a mismatched channel will not fit.
  • Bottom metal inlet: Badger Ordinance (BDL) and M5 are two separate mounting patterns. Choose the inlet that matches your preferred bottom metal or action system. Short action (SA) accepts short action components; long action (LA) accepts long action components.

What actions does this fit?

Remington 700 and clone actions including Defiance, Kelbly, Stiller and Lone Peak. The stock is inletted specifically for the Remington 700 footprint and will not fit other bolt face patterns or action families.
