Overview
Two-stage Rem 700 trigger, first stage takeup with second stage 2.5 oz to 1 lb break, ball-bearing mechanism
The Bix n' Andy TacSport PRO-X is a two-stage trigger for Remington 700 with adjustable second stage pull weight from 2.5 oz to 1 lb. The two-stage design provides initial takeup feedback on the first stage and a crisp, clean break on the second stage, both powered by a ball-bearing mechanism. Hand-fitted in Austria from stainless steel and precision-finished internals, it comes with removable safety and bolt release to match your action configuration and three trigger shoe options, left or right hand.
Two-stage ball-bearing trigger mechanism
First stage provides feedback and control during takeup. Second stage delivers a crisper break than friction designs and allows for clean shot release with minimal hesitation between stages.
Second stage 2.5 oz to 1 lb, adjustable
Set your final break weight to your preference over the available range. The two-stage design means the first stage takeup weight stays separate from this adjustment.
Stainless steel, hand-finished
The housing is elaborately machined and hand-polished. Stainless steel internals are precision-finished and assembled in Austria.
Three trigger shoe options
Smooth curved, Gator ribbed, or 90 Degree flat. All three come installed from the factory, so you choose the shoe that fits your finger.
Removable safety and bolt release
Both are standard on this trigger and removable if your action has its own release. Removable parts allow setup to match factory Rem 700 or clone actions.

Will it work with your build?
Works with
- Remington 700 actions: order With Bolt Release
- Remington 700 footprint clone actions with integral bolt release: order Without Bolt Release
- Right hand and left hand actions: select the Hand option that matches your rifle
Will not work with
- Remington Model 7 (Bix n' Andy makes a separate Model 7 trigger)
Read this before ordering. The safety and bolt release on the TacSport PRO-X do not transfer from your old trigger. A factory Remington 700 needs the With Bolt Release version; if your action has its own bolt release in the receiver, order Without Bolt Release. The standard sear fits most Remington 700 actions. Low and high sear options are available by special request from Bix n' Andy if your action requires a different engagement height.
Detail
Fitting it and the fine print
Which bolt release option do I order?
With Bolt Release is for a factory Remington 700, where the bolt release lever on the trigger works the bolt catch in the receiver. Without Bolt Release is for Remington 700 clone actions that have their own release built into the receiver. Check your action: if it has a separate release lever on the receiver, order Without Bolt Release. If your action is a standard Rem 700 or direct clone without a receiver release, order With Bolt Release.
How do I adjust the second stage pull weight?
Adjustment is covered in Bix'n Andy's manual. Follow its steps rather than guessing, and repeat its safety checks after any change.
What is the difference between the first and second stage?
The first stage is the initial takeup weight you feel before the trigger mechanism engages for the break. The second stage is the final break weight you set when you adjust the trigger. The two-stage design lets you keep takeup feedback while dialing in a light break weight.
Can I use sears from my old trigger?
No. The TacSport PRO-X uses a standard sear and does not accept sears from other trigger designs. The standard sear is correct for most Remington 700 actions. Low and high sear options are available by special request from Bix n' Andy if your action requires a different engagement height, as a special order.
