Designed to be used for both hunting and competition, the Predator action is a 416R stainless steel action with a Remington 700-style footprint. Short actions are available in 223, 308, and magnum bolt faces. The 223 bolt face uses the Sako style extractor, while the others use a modified M16 type. The Predator has a number of features that factory actions lack. It has an extended magazine well that accommodates Wyatt Outdoors extended magazine boxes for the handloader who likes to seat their bullets longer than factory ammo. It uses the most dependable extractor available today and has an enlarged primary extraction camming surface. It uses #8 screws for scope base mounting. The bolt is forged from a single piece of steel, is hand lapped to the action, and fluted for better in-field function. The firing pin is fluted for faster lock time and is fully supported within the bolt body. The bolt handle is threaded for the bolt knob of choice.

• Black Iron Nitride QPQ style coating on bolt for smooth action and galling prevention. Bolt is also factory lapped. Bolts are spiral fluted.
• Rails incorporate anti-bind rail for smooth operation when sliding bolt across port cutout.
• Extended magazine cutout for use with HS Precision or Wyatt Outdoors extended magazines as well as factory Remington.
• Side bolt release which is positioned above the stock line
• Bead blasted matte finish.
• Bases secured with 8-40 screws and two anti-sheer pins
• Full round back and smaller port allow for a much stiffer action and perfect scope alignment.
• Pinned recoil lug
• Uses industry standard Remington style firing pin with 0.068 diameter.
• Mini M-16 style extractor
• Plunger ejector
• All actions use 1.0625-16 tpi, 0.700 inch headspace.

• Tenon threads: Threads are made with a single-point boring bar and indexed to the top center of the action. This allows any barrel ever fitted to a Stiller Action to be screwed onto any other Stiller Action without any need for re-headspacing or re-indexing.
• Bolt Design: .700" diameter. One-piece fluted on top and sides but not the bottom so that flutes will not interfere with magazine lips. Predator actions have a swept bolt handle. They come with a small bolt knob that is threaded to accommodate aftermarket knobs.
• Bolt Stop: On side of the receiver opposite bolt handle above the stock line
• Bolt Throw: 90 degree
• Bolt Material: Chrome Molly hardened to 42 Rockwell
• Bolt Coating: Proprietary double layer coating makes them as smooth as glass
• Firing Pin: Fluted Stainless Steel, .068 diameter tip, Chrome silicon spring
• Extractor/Ejector: Modified M16 type extractor, Rem 700 style pin ejector
• Recoil Lug: 416R Stainless parallel sided or tapered. .187" (Rem 700 standard) or .300" produced in house and surface ground to .0002" tolerance.
