Overview
The Valor Hunter is Curtis Custom's lightweight version of the Valor, with upgraded finishing and coatings throughout. It is a 3-lug, 60 degree bolt action with a Remington 700 footprint, machined from 416 stainless steel, and built as a full thread tenon (not quick-change). The action accepts both AI and AW magazines with a proprietary magwell design that minimizes binding and interference with the bolt.
The lightweight version of the Valor, with upgraded finishing processes and coatings. Curtis lists the short action at 27 ounces.
The proprietary magwell design all but eliminates magazine binding and lets both AI and AW magazines work without modification. Some adjustment of magazine height may be needed for the magazine to lock in; Curtis suggests setting it by adjusting the height of the magazine catch.
A Mil Spec 1913 rail is machined integral into the receiver at 20 MOA, and the integral recoil lug measures .300 inch.
The Valor Hunter uses a full thread tenon for barrel installation. Quick-change barrels are not available on this action.
A 3-lug bolt with 60 degree throw, M16 extractor, and rollerball-tipped cocking piece that reduces drag during cycling.
Receiver and bolt are finished with Curtis Custom's proprietary DLC coating. The finish is black coating standard; raw or polished finishes are available on request.

This is a firearm receiver and requires FFL transfer. Red Hawk Rifles ships this action only to a holder of a valid Federal Firearms License. You select the FFL dealer, forward a copy of their license to Red Hawk Rifles after ordering, and complete the transfer at their counter. Dealers typically charge a transfer fee; that fee and compliance with local, state and federal law are between you and your dealer.

Standard is the .480 inch bolt face, which Curtis lists as .308. Magnum is the .540 inch bolt face. Both come in short action and long action.
Curtis machines the Valor to accept both AW and AI magazines. Some modifying of the magazine height may be required for the magazines to lock in properly; Curtis suggests setting the height by adjusting the height of the magazine catch.
The Valor Hunter is a firearm receiver. Federal law requires that firearm receivers be transferred only to the holder of a valid Federal Firearms License. You will arrange with a licensed dealer to receive it on your behalf, and Red Hawk Rifles will ship it only after receiving a copy of their FFL.
