Hand fitted barrel on a guaranteed action, Cerakote finished

A Red Hawk Rifles barreled action pairs a Defiance Ruckus receiver with a Bartlein stainless barrel, chambered and headspaced by hand for sub 0.5 MOA accuracy. It ships Cerakote finished with a Meraki Machine M1 brake, threaded for suppressors. Made to order in most popular calibers and barrel contours, 14 weeks standard lead time.

Sub 0.5 MOA accuracy guarantee

Each barreled action is hand fitted to +/- .0001" and test fired to verify it meets the guarantee. We do not ship it if it misses. This accuracy figure assumes a properly assembled complete rifle, correct bedding, and appropriate ammunition.

Defiance Ruckus receiver with integral rail

The receiver is one piece of pre-hardened 416 stainless with an integral 20 MOA scope rail and recoil lug. The 4340 chrome moly bolt is machined in one operation to guarantee headspace +/- .001". Straight bolt handle in 90 or 75 degree throw.

Bartlein 5R single-point cut stainless barrel

5R rifling has five lands so no land directly opposes another, reducing jacket deformation and keeping velocity more consistent across barrels. Match grade stainless resists corrosion and handles all barrel contours and calibers in the list.

Ten barrel contours and most popular calibers

From #3 Sporter (most common hunting) to #13 Varmint/Sendero (heavy tactical), #7 MTU, Medium and Heavy Palma, and M24/M40. Calibers run .223 Rem through .300 Win Mag, 6.5 Creedmoor, PRC variants, SAUM and more.

Muzzle brake and suppressor threads included

Each barrel ships with a Meraki Machine M1 3 port muzzle brake. The barrel is threaded 5/8-24 TPI (1/2-28 for .223) for aftermarket brakes and suppressors. Thread size 3/4-24 is available to order.

Cerakote ceramic finish

All barreled actions are finished in Cerakote coating, which handles harsh conditions and corrosion. Bead blasted stainless, gloss black, and custom colors are available.

FFL required. This is a firearm receiver and ships only to a holder of a valid Federal Firearms License. You pick your FFL, forward their license to Red Hawk Rifles, and complete the transfer at their counter. Dealer transfer fees are between you and your dealer. It is your responsibility to comply with local, state and federal law.

Which caliber and barrel contour should I order?

Caliber: We stock .223 Rem, 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 7 SAUM, 7 PRC, 300 WSM, .300 Win Mag, 300 PRC and .308 Win at standard twist rates. Other calibers are available to order.

Contour: For hunting, #3 Sporter (most popular, fits most stocks) is the standard. For varmint or target, #13 Varmint/Sendero is the heavy contour. #7 MTU, #11 and #12 Palma, and #14 M24/M40 are available. The contour determines barrel weight, stiffness and where it clears accessories.

How long will it take and what is the process?

Standard lead time is about 14 weeks, but varies depending on when barrels and actions become available. We keep it simple: select your options, add to cart and checkout. We then email you a build sheet to verify every spec. Once you confirm, Viking Armament starts the barreled action machining. Once it is complete, we confirm your FFL information and ship it to your dealer. After that, it is out of our hands and into yours with the dealer.

What is the accuracy guarantee and what does it mean?

We guarantee each barreled action will shoot sub 0.5 MOA. We do not ship it to you if it misses. Keep in mind this is measured when the complete rifle is properly assembled with correct bedding, and with ammunition that the load is appropriate for the cartridge and your rifle. A barreled action alone on the bench is not a complete rifle; stock selection, bedding, bottom metal, scope and rings all have an effect on what you will see on target.

Does it ship to my house?

No. The Ruckus receiver is a federally licensed firearm and we ship it only to someone holding a valid FFL. You pick the dealer who will be your transfer point, and forward their FFL to us. You complete the transfer at their counter. They may charge a transaction fee, which is customary and between you and them. You assume all responsibility for local, state and federal compliance.
