An 8x zoom in a 13.4-inch scope with ZeroStop and DigIllum
The Nightforce NX8 4-32x50 F1 is a demo unit in like-new condition, a first focal plane riflescope for precision and long-range shooting. At 32x you can reach out to the smallest targets at distance; at 4x you are comfortable with close or moving shots. That range, with clarity and resolution at every step, is one scope covering situations that usually take two. ZeroStop, DigIllum illumination and side parallax are standard, all packed into just 13.4 inches and under 29 ounces.

An 8x zoom over a 50 mm objective, delivering exit pupils from 7.3 mm at 4x down to 1.6 mm at 32x and a field of view from 26.1 ft to 4.6 ft at 100 yards. Under 29 ounces lets the scope not dominate rifle balance.
MIL-C F1 reticle
A Mil-based reticle with simple centre dot for precise aiming on small targets at distance. Holds are in 0.2 Mil-Radian spacing with numbered whole Mil marks for fast reference under any condition.
First focal plane
The reticle scales with magnification, so your Mil holds remain valid at any power instead of only at maximum.
ZeroStop and DigIllum
Dial up to a distance and return to a hard mechanical zero. Illumination is digital instead of a rheostat, so the low settings are genuinely low for night use.
Side parallax from 11 yards to infinity
Set parallax on the side turret rather than through the eyepiece, freeing the focus ring for quick adjustment between near and distant targets.

What is the difference between first focal plane and second?
In first focal plane (F1), the reticle sits in front of the erector assembly, so it scales with magnification. Your Mil marks hold true at any power. In second focal plane, the reticle is behind the erector and stays the same apparent size, so Mil holds are only valid at the reference magnification (usually maximum). First focal plane scopes are preferred for long-range dialing because you can hold or dial accurately regardless of the power you are using.
Can I dial elevation or do I hold over with the reticle?
You can do both. The NX8 has a multi-turn elevation turret with ZeroStop, so you can dial elevation for any distance and return to your zero. The MIL-C reticle has visible holdover marks below the centre for situations where you do not have time to dial or want to shoot multiple targets at different distances without re-zeroing.
What is DigIllum?
DigIllum is Nightforce's digital illumination system. Instead of a variable rheostat, you step through discrete brightness levels, which keeps the low settings genuinely low for hunting and night use without the wash-out that rheostats often produce at their minimum.
