A 56mm scope with 65 MOA elevation and ZeroStop, calibrated at maximum power
The Nightforce NXS 8-32x56 is a second focal plane riflescope with a 30 mm tube, 65 MOA of elevation travel and ZeroStop. This unit is a demo in like-new condition. The MOAR-T reticle illuminates the center dot for low-light visibility; the rest of the reticle is not illuminated.
8-32x in 15.9 inches
A 4x zoom range over a 56 mm objective. Exit pupils range from 7.0 mm at 8x down to 1.8 mm at 32x. Field of view spans from 12.1 ft at 8x to 3.1 ft at 32x, measured at 100 yards. Weight is 34 ounces.
MOAR-T reticle, center-dot illuminated
Illumination lights the center dot only; the MOA holdover marks are not illuminated. The reticle marks are calibrated at 22x.
Second focal plane
The reticle stays the same size across the zoom range, so its MOA marks are correct at 22x only.
ZeroStop and side parallax
ZeroStop returns the elevation turret to a mechanical zero after dialing. Parallax adjusts on the side turret from 50 yards to infinity.
65 MOA elevation travel
Elevation travel is 65 MOA and windage travel 45 MOA, in 0.250 MOA clicks.

What is the difference between second focal plane and first?
In a second focal plane scope the reticle stays the same size across the zoom range, so its MOA marks are correct at one power only, 22x on this scope. In a first focal plane scope the reticle scales with magnification and the marks read the same at any power.
Can I dial elevation or do I hold over with the reticle?
You can do both. The elevation turret has ZeroStop, so you can dial for distance and return to your zero. The MOAR-T reticle carries MOA holdover marks that are calibrated at 22x.
How is MOAR-T different from MOAR reticle illumination?
On the MOAR-T only the center dot illuminates; on the MOAR the whole reticle pattern illuminates. This listing is the MOAR-T, center only illuminated.
