Overview
The Heritage Arms M5 DBM is a detachable box magazine bottom metal for Remington 700 pattern actions fitted to M5 inlet stocks. It is CNC machined from solid billet aluminum and black anodized, with an ambidextrous magazine release, a barricade stop in the magazine well, and all mounting hardware included.
CNC machined from a single piece of solid billet and black anodized for durability. Weights run 4.5 oz on short actions to 6.5 oz on long actions.
The release sits flush to the body and does not protrude below the trigger guard, eliminating accidental magazine drops from side contact.
Prevents the magazine from shifting under recoil, keeping it seated and reliable through shooting.
This bottom metal is not a drop-in fit unless your stock is already inletted for M5 detachable bottom metal. Standard Remington factory BDL inlets are too small.

M5 inlet is required. This bottom metal is not a drop-in replacement for factory Remington 700 setups. Standard Remington factory inlets accept BDL (hinged floorplate) bottom metal only. M5 inlet stocks are larger to accommodate the detachable magazine assembly. Verify your stock's magazine inlet before ordering.

M5 inlets are larger than standard Remington factory BDL inlets because they are designed to accept detachable bottom metal. If your stock is a factory Remington 700 or designed for factory-style hinged floorplate bottom metal, it has a BDL inlet, not M5. Check the stock manufacturer's specification sheet or contact them directly. Many modern aftermarket stocks are inletted for M5; verify before ordering.
Short action (4.5 oz) fits short action Remington 700 and clones with 3.055 in magazine length. Long action (6.5 oz) fits standard long action and magnum long action Remington 700 and clones with 3.715 in magazine length. Long action CIP (6.25 oz) fits long action models where the stock is cut for the extended 3.850 in CIP magazine length. The three sizes are not interchangeable; verify which length your action is before ordering.
