This is a great replacement for BDL bottom metal. Cartridges feed flawlessly. Highly recommend!!

I had been visiting my cousin in NC, doing a little deer hunting, and mentioned that I wish Remington had made the 700 with a detachable magazine .. he said he had 2 Remingtons with a detachable magazine (HS PRECISION) and recommended your company .. we had to do a little dremel work on the stock but other than that it fit like a glove .. great product by HS PRECISION and my magazine came in quicker than expected .. Love it!!

I installed this in a stainless M700 7mm Rem Mag with a B&C Alaskan stock. Install took 15 minutes using a flat blade screwdriver and a cheap mini-file. Other than making that modification for the magazine release/retention to fit in the center tenon of the stock, it dropped right in. I was able to use the original action screws. The bottom metal and magazine are very well made, with excellent fit and finish. This will add weight to your rifle, as it is significantly more substantial than factory BDL magazine assembly. .90 pounds is accurate number for this. One nice thing is that the magazine snaps into place with the same reassuring "snick" whether the bolt is open or closed and whether there is 3 rounds, 1 round, or no rounds in the magazine. When the magazine is fully loaded at 3 rounds, chambering the first round from magazine into the chamber takes some effort and must be done with some tenacity and thoroughness or the round will hang up, which is often the case in M700/clones/push-feeds anyways. The second and third round feed nicer and with less effort. This is the only reason I gave it four and not give stars. A little pricey but worth it. This system retains the same factory length 3.70" COAL, which is wonderful. The HS logo on the inside of the trigger-guard, the side of both magazines, and then spelled out on bottom of (outside bow) the trigger-guard is a nice touch too. What a great, well made upgrade.

There should be a “That was Easy” button included with package. Fit and finish were precise and second to none. Installed in HS Precision stock, had to modify as per instructions. Instructions were very clear. Rifle mag loads and feeds cartridges extremely smooth in rifle. Magazine detaches easily and locks in securely. I am very impressed with this product. Well done HS Precision!
