Overview
The Lilja Carbon Fiber Barrel Blank is a .224 barrel that wraps a 416 stainless steel core in carbon fiber for less weight without losing accuracy. Lilja drills, reams, and rifles the barrel in house, stress relieves it, then hand laps the bore before applying the carbon wrap. It ships as a blank in a Remington Varmint contour with a 1:7 twist, one inch longer than the finish length you order.
The .224 bore is cut with a 1:7 twist and 6 grooves.
The core is machined from 1.250" diameter 416 alloy stainless steel, then drilled, reamed, rifled, stress relieved, and hand lapped for a uniform bore.
A stress-free, low-resin parallel fiber base wrap is followed by a filament-wound outer layer over the steel core.
The blank ships one inch longer than the finish length you order.
