Overview
Lightweight STANAG-spec rings with four Grade 8 fasteners and stepped adjustment
MDT Lightweight Premier Scope Rings are designed and manufactured to STANAG 4694 specification, also known as NATO spec. The rings clamp tight to the top of a scope base rail with pressure on the angled rail surfaces, guaranteeing a solid interface on both STANAG and MIL-STD-1913 spec rails. They are machined from billet 6061 aluminum, anodized, and weigh 4 oz (30 mm Low) to 5.6 oz (High).

STANAG 4694 NATO specification
Designed to sit tight on the top of the scope base rail, applying pressure to the underside of the angled rail surfaces. This design works on both STANAG and MIL-STD-1913 spec rails.
CMM checked to 1.5 millionths
Every ring is CMM checked to 1.5 millionths of an inch precision. Four oversized Grade 8 fasteners clamp the scope, and the stepped base-to-cap interface allows adjustment in sequence.
No lapping required

Heights are measured from the top of the rail to the center of the bore. No lapping required. Available heights differ by diameter: 30mm comes in Low, Medium, and High; 34mm comes in Medium and High only.

What does STANAG 4694 spec mean?
STANAG 4694, also called NATO spec, describes how the ring clamps to a scope base rail. MDT Premier rings sit tight on the top of the rail and apply pressure to the underside of the angled rail surfaces. MDT Premier rings work on both STANAG and MIL-STD-1913 spec rails.
Which heights and diameters are available?
30mm rings come in Low (0.82 inch), Medium (1.0 inch), and High (1.25 inch). 34mm rings come in Medium (1.0 inch) and High (1.25 inch). No lapping required on any variant.
How much do they weigh?
30mm Low weighs 4 oz, Medium 4.6 oz, and High 5.6 oz. 34mm Medium weighs 4.6 oz and High 5.6 oz. MDT lists these as its Lightweight Premier rings.
