Overview
Zero creep two stage trigger for AR-15, 1.5 to 4.0 lbs, adjustable per stage
The TriggerTech Diamond Two Stage is a two-stage trigger for AR-15 rifles, adjustable from 1.5 to 4.0 lbs total pull with independent control of the first and second stage. It has zero creep, sub .030 inch reset, and is sold with a Flat or Pro Curved lever, right hand only, in PVD black. This is a drop-in unit designed to feel like a 1911 trigger in a modern rifle.
1.5 to 4.0 lbs total, first and second stage adjustable
The first stage breaks at 0.25 lbs, and the second stage adds 1.25 to 3.75 lbs on top of that for a total pull of 1.5 to 4.0 lbs. Adjust each stage independently using the external set screws on the bottom of the trigger with the supplied Allen wrench. Changing pull weight does not affect hammer force, so you get the same primer strikes at every setting.
Zero creep, sub .030 inch reset
The trigger components are assembled as a matched set. TriggerTech's Zero Creep Technology does not rely on coating, polishing or lubricating the engagement surfaces. That is the manufacturer's reason the break stays consistent shot to shot and after thousands of rounds. The reset is sub .030 inch, so follow-up shots come fast.
1911-style feel in a two stage design
TriggerTech says the two stage Diamond is designed to feel like a 1911 trigger, with short overtravel.
7075 aluminum with 440C stainless internals
The housing is anodized 7075 aluminum and the key components are hardened 440C stainless steel. The PVD black finish is a physical vapor deposition coating on the external stainless parts. This combination gives you corrosion resistance and an extended service life.
Flat or Pro Curved lever, PVD black
Offered with the Flat lever (straight face with locator nub) or the Pro Curved lever, both PVD black, per our options.
Drop-in installation, lifetime warranty
The trigger is a drop-in unit; installation requires detailed knowledge of your AR's lower receiver. TriggerTech covers manufacturing defects for the life of the product, handled by TriggerTech directly.

Fitment
Will it work with your build?
Works with
- AR-15 rifles with standard trigger pins
- Right hand actions: this listing is right hand only
Will not work with
- Left hand rifles: this trigger is right hand only
Read this before ordering. Installation requires detailed knowledge of your AR-15 lower receiver and the ability to properly detail strip it. If you do not have these skills, we recommend having a professional gunsmith install the trigger and perform all safety checks. The safety from your existing trigger will not fit this one. Pull weights are approximate and vary with firing pin spring weight and action geometry.
Detail
Fitting it and the fine print
How do I adjust the first and second stages?
With the rifle unloaded, use the supplied Allen wrench to adjust the set screws on the bottom of the trigger housing. One screw controls the first stage (0.25 lbs fixed, no adjustment) and one controls the second stage (1.25 to 3.75 lbs). Clockwise increases pull weight, counter-clockwise reduces it. Each click is approximately 0.5 oz. Repeat the safety checks in the TriggerTech manual before firing live ammunition.
Why does my pull weight measure outside the advertised range?
Pull weight on an AR-15 is affected by the firing pin spring and the engagement geometry of your specific lower receiver. A heavier than factory firing pin spring can push the total measured pull higher, and pull weight varies between rifles. TriggerTech's specification is based on their test fixture. If your measurement is significantly off, contact TriggerTech to verify the adjustment and installation.
Does it need oil, and what can damage it?
No oil. The trigger is designed to run dry. TriggerTech asks that gun oil and cleaning products be kept away from it. If contaminated, flush it with lighter fluid and blow it out with compressed air rather than opening the housing. Two things can damage it: a pierced primer or overpressure event, and dry cycling an unsupported bolt carrier (the cocking piece needs to ride on the sear to avoid hammering it into the carrier).
