Wrist-mounted ballistic calculator with multi-band GNSS
The Foretrex 901 Ballistic Edition combines Applied Ballistics Elite software with a durable, hand-free tactical GPS. Garmin lists it for long range precision shooters and military, sniper and tactical use.
Applied Ballistics Elite included
Calculate wind and elevation adjustments for long-range shots directly on the device. Manage ballistic profiles wirelessly through the AB Synapse app on your smartphone.
Multi-band GNSS for accuracy

100 hour battery life
Runs on two user-replaceable AAA batteries. Get up to 100 hours in standard GPS mode or 1000 hours in expedition mode.
Military-grade durability
Garmin says it is tested to MIL-STD-810 for sand and dust, vibration, shock, temperature, altitude and humidity, with an IPX7 water resistance rating.
Tactical features
Stealth mode disables all data logging and wireless connectivity. Kill switch erases device memory. Jumpmaster mode calculates high-altitude parachute release points.

What is Applied Ballistics on this device?
Applied Ballistics Elite software calculates ballistic solutions for long-range shooting. You input your rifle, ammunition and environmental conditions, and the Foretrex 901 computes the wind and elevation adjustments you need. You can wirelessly sync and manage ballistic profiles using the AB Synapse app on your smartphone.
Can I use this for navigation only, without shooting?
Yes. The Foretrex 901 is a full-featured tactical GPS with multi-band GNSS, barometric altimeter, compass and advanced sensors. It stores 500 waypoints and 50 routes, tracks your position and elevation, and pairs with the Garmin Explore app for trip planning. If you do not use Applied Ballistics, you have all the navigation and field use features.
Are batteries included?
No. The device uses two user-replaceable AAA batteries (not included). Battery life runs up to 100 hours in standard GPS mode or up to 1000 hours in expedition mode.
What does stealth mode do?
Stealth mode stops the device from storing and sharing GPS data and disables all wireless connectivity (Bluetooth and ANT+). You can still use the ballistic calculator and navigation features while stealth mode is active.
