Overview
The MDT Timbr Core combines traditional walnut aesthetics with an aluminum micro-chassis and V-block bedding system. It is drop-in ready with no custom fitting or bedding required, adjusts from 13.6 to 14.6 inches via spacers, and accepts AICS pattern magazines with an MDT bottom metal.
Crafted from solid walnut or laminated charcoal composite, each stock has unique grain and warm appearance while the interior aluminum chassis handles precision fit and repeatability.
The machined aluminum micro-chassis uses a V-block inlet to lock your action in place with zero guesswork. No bedding, no custom work, no gunsmith. Just torque and shoot.
Included 1/4 inch spacers under the buttpad adjust the length of pull from 13.6 to 14.6 inches, per MDT.
Integrated sling studs on the buttstock and forend let you carry or use a bipod. Textured stippling on the grip and forend (walnut version only) provides purchase in all weather.
Works with AICS short action magazines when paired with an MDT CORE, Hunting, or Precision bottom metal. Not compatible without bottom metal.
The fore end channels even heavy Proof Research Sendero barrels, handling barrel profiles far larger than most traditional wood stocks.

No. The V-block inlet on the aluminum micro-chassis is machined for a precision fit. Just install your action and bottom metal, torque them down per manufacturer specs, and you are ready to shoot. No custom bedding is required.
Yes. The stock comes with 1/4 inch spacers that stack under the buttpad to adjust from 13.6 inches to 14.6 inches. Each spacer changes LOP by 1/4 inch. To extend beyond 14.6 inches, the MDT wood buttstock spacer kit is available (note: this is expensive and is separate from polymer spacer kits).
The Timbr Core comes in solid walnut (with unique grain on each stock), charcoal laminate, and green mountain camo. The walnut version includes textured stippling on the grip and forend for better purchase in wet conditions.
