    Requires modification

Looks pretty good and weight is as advertised, 28.5 oz. However mine makes contact with the barrel at the forend so either needs inletting work or bedding to correct. I was hoping to not have to bed after reading some others having good luck as a bolt on, but seems now I have no choice as I don't want to take the dremmel to a $600 stock

    Seems well made

Published by Jonathan on Dec 22nd 2020

The stock arrive yesterday and I was able to install it immediately. Everything seemed to fit nicely. I've heard that they can sometimes not do a good job shaping the recoil pad, but that was not my experience. Mine was very well put together. I will be taking it to the range tomorrow to put some rounds through the rifle with the new stock and will report back if there's anything bad to say. So far, I love it.

    Beat expectations

Was a little worried after reading the reviews but the stock turned out to be very well build. Very rigid and after a few minor adjustments to the pin it was seated. Torqued to specs and dropped my moa from .6 to a .4. Well done mesa and thank you for another great product red hawk rifles.

Stock is very thick at the grip. I don’t see this being acceptable in the field. Perhaps I mis understood the description. I won’t be keeping it .

    Mesa altitude tikka t3 stock

Published by Brandon on Oct 24th 2020

Overall it seems good but a couple things that didn’t impress me.
    1. Recoil lug does sit right in the stock, sits high on the right side. The lug was not cut correctly after investigating. Burrs on the recoil lug as well. Some reshaping and bedding is needed. Definitely not bolt on and go.
    2. The paint job butts up to the recoil pad well on one side but the other side comes up a few mm short. Doesn’t affect performance but when something is finished well you feel better about the quality taken in the rest of it.
