Overview
The SMR Flex System uses one M5 body that can change from hinged floor plate to magazine fed and back. This kit is the hinged floorplate version: all aluminum, black anodized, with a matched BDL lid. Short or long action. Uses Remington 700 factory BDL action screws.
SMR lists the hinged floorplate kit at 5.3 to 6.0 oz depending on inlet and action.
The kit includes a hinged floor plate lid for the Flex System bottom metal.
This version of the Flex System is set up as a traditional hinged floor plate. Remove the lid and add a magazine and tensioner to convert to the DBM setup; the complete setup with both options is available as the Complete Kit.
Select short or long action. Same bottom metal body accepts magazine components later without replacing the body, per SMR.
Uses Remington 700 factory BDL action screws.
