Lightweight skeletonized Rem 700 footprint action with two-piece customizable bolt
The Stiller Wombat is a short or long action receiver with a Remington 700 footprint, machined from 416R stainless and hardened to industry specifications. It is built for hunters and precision shooters who want reduced weight without sacrificing the Stiller tolerances. The two-piece bolt allows the bolt handle and bolt knob to be customized separately, and it comes standard with a 20 MOA rail.
Skeletonized design cuts weight
20.5 oz short action and 22.2 oz long action with bolt, designed to drop weight without losing stiffness where it counts. The all-new geometry is not found on other actions.
Two-piece customizable bolt
The bolt handle and bolt knob are a separate assembly, so you customize both to suit your build. Choose from available handle options and knobs without modifying the receiver.
Push feed and 90 degree throw
Two-piece 4140 steel bolt with push feed design for reliable feeding and smooth operation. 90 degree throw cycles fast without hanging up.
Hyper-polished DLC finish
Proprietary finish on 416R stainless provides a slick, corrosion-resistant surface that requires minimal maintenance.
20 MOA rail comes standard
Integrated 6061-T6 Picatinny rail ready for your scope bases. Zero MOA rails are available separately if your setup requires it.

Receiver only. You will need a barrel fitted to your headspace and specification, bolt knob, scope bases and rings, and a stock. Lead time is currently 16 weeks. Verify your FFL dealer's transfer fees before ordering. Any buyer who receives this item is responsible for knowing and complying with all local, state and federal firearms regulations. Stiller receivers must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensed dealer.

Which bolt face do I need for my cartridge?
Standard .308 (.485) bolt face: Use for .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, .243 Winchester, 22-250 Remington, and all other standard bolt face cartridges on short or long actions.
Magnum (.550) bolt face: Use for .300 Norma Magnum, .300 PRC, 7mm Remington Magnum, .300 Weatherby Magnum, .300 Winchester Magnum, and other magnum bolt face cartridges. Match the bolt face to your intended caliber.
What is the advantage of the two-piece bolt design?
The two-piece bolt allows you to customize the bolt handle and bolt knob separately without modifying the receiver. You can choose from available handle styles and knobs to suit your build, then swap them out later if your preferences change. The lighted straight handle comes standard and is threaded to accept an aftermarket bolt knob.
What magazines work with the extended magazine well?
The Wombat magazine well is cut for repeater magazines in an extended configuration. Verify compatibility with your intended magazine, barrel, and chamber before ordering, as magazine fit can vary by brand and caliber.
Does this come as a complete rifle?
No. This is a receiver only. You will need to provide a barrel fitted to your headspace specification, a bolt knob, scope bases and rings, a stock inlet for M5, and arrange an FFL dealer to handle the transfer. Stiller receivers cannot be shipped to individual addresses; they must ship to an FFL dealer.
