Zero creep Model 7 trigger, adjustable from 1.0 to 3.5 lb
The TriggerTech Special is a drop-in single stage trigger for the Remington Model 7, adjustable from 1.0 to 3.5 lb with a zero creep break. It mounts on the factory trigger pins, includes its own safety and bolt release, and comes in PVD black with a curved or flat lever. Right hand only.
1.0 to 3.5 lb, set from outside
Pull weight is adjusted with the supplied 5/64" Allen wrench at a set screw on the bottom of the housing, in steps of about 1 oz. Clockwise adds weight. It ships set near the middle of the range.
Zero creep, under .015" overtravel
TriggerTech's Zero Creep Technology does not rely on coating, polishing or lubricating the engagement surfaces. That is the manufacturer's reason the break stays consistent shot to shot and after thousands of rounds.
7075 housing, 440C internals
The housing is anodized 7075 aluminum and the key components are hardened 440C stainless. The PVD black finish adds a physical vapor deposition coating to the external stainless parts.
Curved or flat lever
Offered with a curved or flat lever, both in PVD black.

Fitting it and the fine print
How do I adjust the pull weight?
With the rifle unloaded, put the supplied 5/64" Allen wrench into the set screw on the bottom of the trigger. Clockwise increases pull weight, counter-clockwise reduces it, in clicks. Keep at least three clicks engaged so the screw cannot fall out. Repeat the safety checks in the manual before firing live ammunition.
Why does my pull weight measure outside 1.0 to 3.5 lb?
Pull weight is affected by the firing pin spring. An overweight or aftermarket heavy spring can push the measured pull above the advertised range. Pull weight also varies from action to action. A gradual change of up to 6 oz as the parts wear in is normal; a sudden change is not, and the trigger should go to TriggerTech.
Does it need oil, and what can damage it?
No oil. The trigger runs dry, and TriggerTech asks that gun oil and cleaning products be kept away from it. If it is contaminated, flush it with lighter fluid and blow it out with compressed air. Two things TriggerTech names as damaging: a pierced primer or overpressure event, and closing the bolt on an untimed action, which hammers the cocking piece into the sear.
