Ultralight carbon fiber stock that transfers recoil to the action, not your shoulder
The Peak 44 Blacktooth is built for a lightweight Remington 700 or compatible rifle. It weighs 20 oz and uses a patented carbon fiber bedding block that engages the front recoil lug and carries the recoil impulse directly to the exterior shell, away from your stock and grip. The 3D Hex recoil pad is designed to collapse progressively and stretch the recoil event over time, turning a sharp kick into a sustained shove.

A carbon fiber slip engages the front recoil lug and transfers the recoil force directly to the exterior shell instead of into your grip.
3D Hex recoil pad
Honeycomb structure with hexagonal voids that collapse progressively as recoil energy enters, spreading the impact across time rather than all at once.
Negative comb
Slopes downward from the cheekrest, so your head stays lower and your sight picture stays true when the rifle moves.
Inlet and action choices
Choose your bottom metal type (BDL hinged floorplate or M5) and action length (short or long) separately, so you are not locked into one configuration.

Bottom metal inlet and action length cannot be mixed. Verify your current action type and bottom metal before ordering. BDL and M5 are not interchangeable; ordering the wrong inlet is a return. Stocks do not qualify for free shipping; they ship for a flat rate per order regardless of quantity.

Fitting it and the fine print
Do I need BDL or M5 inlet
The inlet must match your bottom metal. If your rifle has factory Remington hinged floorplate bottom metal or an aftermarket hinged floorplate, order BDL. If you are using M5 bottom metal, order M5. The two are not compatible and cannot be mixed.
Which action length do I order
Measure the distance between your action screw holes (front to rear, middle to middle). Short actions are typically around 3 inches, long actions around 3.5 inches or more. When in doubt, contact your action maker. A short action stock will not fit a long action, and vice versa.
Sporter versus Varmint/Sendero barrel contour
Sporter contour is tapered (#1, #2, or #3 taper). Varmint/Sendero is a custom contour sized between #3 and #4, thicker than the heaviest Sporter. Match your barrel to your stock contour, or be prepared to hand-fit. Peak 44 recommends a minimum of 0.02 inches of clearance.
Do I need to bed the stock
Peak 44 recommends bedding for best performance of the carbon fiber block. Whether bedded or free-floated, torque the action screws to 55 in-lb: rear 35, then align the barrel, front 35, then rear 55, then front 55 in-lb.
