.308 carbon fiber blank from Snowy Mountain Rifles, ready for your gunsmith
Snowy Mountain Rifles carbon fiber barrel blanks are unfinished blanks with a precision-machined 416R stainless steel core wrapped in carbon fiber. The .308 bore comes in 1:9 twist with the SMR Sendero contour, offered in four finished lengths: 20, 22, 24 and 26 inches. Our record says each blank comes with a threaded 5/8-24 crown and thread protector and needs chambering and fitting by your gunsmith.
416R stainless steel core
The foundation is precision-machined 416R stainless steel, hand-lapped twice, double stress relieved and cryogenically treated for dimensional stability.
Carbon fiber wrapped
Wrapped in SMR's proprietary blend of ultra stiff carbon fibers, per our record.
Up to 62% lighter than steel

This is a blank, not a finished barrel. It must be chambered, threaded, crowned and installed by a certified gunsmith. The gunsmith will cut the barrel to final length during finishing. Rifle barrels ship for a flat $14.95 per order, any quantity, and do not qualify for free shipping.
