Overview
Snowy Mountain Rifles carbon fiber barrel blanks are precision rifle blanks in .338 (8.6mm) with a 1:3 twist rate. Our record says each carbon blank comes with a threaded 5/8-24 crown and thread protector; it still needs chambering and fitting by your gunsmith. Two lengths: 12 inches or 16.5 inches.read, chamber, crown and install it on your action.
Snowy Mountain wraps carbon fibers around the barrel to cut weight compared to steel blanks of the same contour. SMR says its carbon barrels are up to 62 percent lighter than steel barrels of comparable contour.
All SMR carbon Precision Rifle Barrels are made in the Sendero contour, per our record.
